"The Bane of King"

Films: The Stand (1994)

Alias: The Dark Man, the Hardcase, Legion, The Walkin' Dude

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: It's bad enough when a pandemic wipes out most of the human race. But did we really need one of Stephen King's evilest villains to capitalize on it?! I don't think so!

History: In the not so distant future, a hyper-deadly mutated strain of influenza known as "Superflu" escapes, and through a series of bad decisions, spreads all throughout the world, wiping out more than ninety-percent of all mankind. Now, the majority of remaining civilization is placed into two camps due to visions from two different people. On one side is the group led by the saintly Mother Abigail. On the other, people being led by an agent of pure evil known as Randall Flagg, who has gathered all his disciples at Las Vegas.

Notable Kills: Nothing special

Final Fate: Eventually, Flagg's influence loses against Abigail's, and both he and his followers are blown up by a nuclear bomb. Even better, a child immune to the superflu has been born...

Powers/Abilities: Can shapeshift (mostly into a raven), kill people from miles away, and is mostly invulnerable.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-Mullets are scary. There, we said it. Aside from that, Randall is a dark messiah with a lot of dry wit. His manipulation made hundreds into mindless evildoers, and his presence is a disaster for just about everybody.

Trivia: -Flagg plays an integral part in Stephen King's universe. For example, he has also appeared in "The Dark Tower" as the right-hand man of the Crimson King. He might even be Nyarlathotep himself!

-"The Stand" is often considered to be one of Stephen Kingapos;s greatest works, mainly due to all the plotlines and just how big it is in comparison to his other works.

The dinosaurs learned that too late.

Evil just has to have the most punchable face ever.
Nice lips, jerk.

The last look you'll ever get in a lonely cornfield at night.

Did he accidentally stick his face against an oven?
All that was left when they ran out of Kool-Aid.
